The Satell Institute, the leading CEO member organization dedicated to Corporate Social Responsibility, has announced plans for its must-attend Spring 2025 Private CEO Conference.
Entitled “From Defining Moments to Lasting Impact: The Power of Trust & CSR,” the event will be a unique opportunity to hear how CEOs are navigating the shifting economic and cultural landscape in order to ensure long-term success. Business leaders will focus, in particular, on an SI trademark: how deep ties between for-profit and nonprofit organizations provide benefits to both while also serving the greater good.
Jay Sugarman (pictured), Majority Owner of the Philadelphia Union and Chairman and CEO of leading commercial real estate firm iStar, will be the keynote speaker for the conference, which will be held on May 6 at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. The event will also be livestreamed.
Chaired by Reverend Dr. Lorina Marshall-Blake (pictured), President of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, and supported by an outstanding conference committee, the conference will feature “rapid fire” presentations with Q&A, followed by SI’s hallmark CEO Idea and Experience Exchange roundtables.
The roster of impressive presenters includes:
Jay Sugarman, Chairman and Majority Owner of the Philadelphia Union and Union Sports & Entertainment. Sugarman is also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of iStar, a leading commercial real estate company with a $6 billion portfolio, as well as Founder, Chairman and CEO of Safehold, one of the fastest-growing REITs since its IPO in 2017. Sugarman will focus on the importance of CSR and the value of community engagement for businesses.
George Leone, CEO, Homecoming 250. Launched by passionate volunteers and supported by generous corporate sponsors, the organization is dedicated to bringing America’s Navy and Marine Corps home to celebrate their 250th birthdays during the nation’s sesquicentennial.
Donna Bullock, CEO, Project Home. The conference’s nonprofit speaker will talk about the pressing issue of homelessness, and how nonprofits and for-profits can work together to bring about results that benefit the community.
Meg Kane, President and CEO, Signature 57. Kane will focus on Philadelphia’s selection as one of 16 host cities for the 2026 World Cup, and the coalition of business, civic and nonprofit leaders who’ve come together to make it happen.
As always, the invitation-only conference will begin with a networking breakfast at 8 a.m. The event will conclude promptly at 11:30 a.m.
The Satell Institute is in the midst of rapid growth. SI now has a presence in Philadelphia, South Jersey, Central Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, New York, North Jersey, Long Island, Delaware, Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia.
